Powell Museum & Visitor Center
6 North Lake Powell Blvd., Page, AZ 86040
The Spring is a good time to explore the Powell Museum, and to attend one of their Artist of the Month receptions. The Museum is also the Official Page/Lake Powell Visitors Center, and can assist you with booking a slot canyon tour, or answer any of your questions.
West of the Museum and Visitor Center, walk across the Glen Canyon Dam and visit the Carl Hayden Visitor Center. Here, you can sign up for a tour of the dam, view exhibits and videos on the (Glen Canyon) National Recreation Area, and shop at their bookstore.
Spring is a good time to walk, hike, and/or bike on the many area trails. Famous Horseshoe Bend, (Glen Canyon) Dam Overlook, and Hanging Garden Trails are 1.5 miles or less, or one could hop on and hop off the Rim View Trail, a 10-mile loop bordering Page. Fishing on Lake Powell is best in March, April, and the first two weeks into May. Anglers can rent a boat and go out on their own, or hire a fishing guide who comes with a boat.
Lastly, there are a handful of events happening during this time. You can run the Antelope Canyon Ultra, check out a folk/bluegrass and/or soprano performances, or watch native dancing while trying native food at the annual Pow Wow. For more information, visit www.VisitPageLake-Powell.com, or call 888-261-PAGE.
